Dear papa, you were a father, father-inlaw, grand father, brother, uncle and friend to many before death plucked you from our midst. Even though we are saddened by lossing you, we take solace in the word of God which says in John 11:25 that “I am the resurrection and life. The one who believes in me will live even if he dies”. And we blieve that you are living and resting at the bosom of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. Amen .
DEAR PAPA, there is never a day that passes by that the thought of you does not flash. I miss your calm nature , candid advise and words of encouragement towards life endevours. There are not many men on earth like you. You treated everyone the same irrespective of social status, personality and class. I learnt so much from you yet I did not tap enough from your vast wealth of knowledge. You were a walking encyclopedia, dictionary and your command of English was superb. I remembered how you wanted me to succeed academically; even to when I was in search of job how you thought me on how to arrange my CV and write a good job application letter – you were my TEACHER even in your advance stage of life.
Papa, a thousand word is not enough to describe you nor pen down the sadness I feel inside. I pray for your soul today just as I did ever since the day you were hit by partial stroke (sickness) and finally called by the Lord.
I am comforted because ypu lived a life worthy of emulation and you are resting on a better side with the Lord.
Your son you fondly called “Udoji” is here with his family, siblings and friends to bid you farewell to eternal glory. Papa we love you but God loves you more.
